Hollywood is known to everyone in the world as the motion picture producing center in the US.

Thousands of films of various themes were produced and distributed all around the world.

The progress in audiovisual technology has aided the motion picture production much easy.

The investment to produce a film was much less in the past whereas today it runs to billions and the profit amounts to trillions.

One of the latest films –The Dark Knight – a batman movie was released last weekend (18 July 2008) all over the US and some countries of the world.

The ticket sale was $155.3 million, which was the biggest domestic box-office weekend in history.

In 2007, another film –Spider Man 3 – brought 151.1 million dollars during its opening weekend.

“The Dark Knight’ was produced a cost of $180 million people like films because they offer the cheapest form of entertainment.

It is a super hero movie directed by Christopher Nolan.

Christian Bale acts as the batman in the picture.

Batman, a billionaire dedicated himself to protect Gotham City from underworld criminals.

The primary conflicts in the film includes his fight against his arch-nemesis the Jocker (Heath Ledgerr) and his strained friendship with district attorney.

Although I have not seen the picture, I looked into the preview in the net.

One preview says: ‘In short, it’s a masterpiece. One that will knock you out of your seat. It is the best Batsman film ever, the best super hero film ever and the best film of 2008 thus far’.

It will be released in India soon.

Hope it’s worth to see The Dark Knight at least once.
